Christmas Goodies, Nomnoms!

Hey everyone! Heh, finally managed to remind myself to take pictures that I needed to of certain things and with that, I shall introduce you all to the Christmas goodies!

First off comes Christmas dinner! We ate at home this year, and let me tell you, it felt very nice to not rush, to not force ourselves to pack everything up and be ready by 10am or Noon. This was probably one of the most relaxed Christmases I’ve had in a long while!

The Christmas dinner consisted of chicken; which we covered in bacon and smoked for about 4-5 hours the few days before Christmas, pinto beans; not canned, but home cooked, homemade rolls, German potato salad; done up in a Texan way using cilantro and Texas beef sausage in the mix, cranberry sauce, and of course a holiday meal would never be complete without a grand serving of gravy, which was homemade with chicken stock, fats, as well as oils from the sausage when it was cooked! The meal was very filling (seriously, that’s without eating anything but candy the beginning of the day) and it was extremely delicious!

The next goodies? Desserts! Homemade candies in the flavors of:

Cherry, lemon, mint, peppermint, maple, and caramel! I had a blast making the candies, and although I may have lost some feeling in my fingertips from when I made the lemon drop candies, it’s something I’d happily do for years to come. The mints, both flavors, are made with a sugar paste which is basic fondant, and it hardens to a melt in your mouth quickly kind of strongly flavored candy.

The next big thing I spent an entire night+ working on, were my pumpkin spice flavored,Christmas tree cupcakes!

I immensely enjoyed the process that went into this. The gift boxes and the ornaments are made of the same fondant as the mints, and were formed and dried before being painted with food coloring, decorated with a fondant bow for the boxes, and stuck on the trees and painted for the ornaments. The more I look at the above pic, I see a cute little tree in its stand, waiting for some giant to come by and pluck up one of the gift boxes!

I hope everyone of you had a very wonderful holidays and Christmas, and I hope you all have an amazing new year. I’m blessed to have been able to make all these items, share them with not only family, but share the images and my thoughts of the experiences with all of you. I’m extremely thankful for all of you. I know I haven’t published any of my Bloggaries, but don’t you worry. Come the new year’s celebrations passing, I’ll be pumping out the Bloggaries (finally!)!

I’m a bad blogger. ._.

HOWDEHH. Yeah. I know. I haven’t posted a Bloggary in a LONG TIME. I’ve just been a really bad blogger. I mean..really bad.

I’ve been taking pics for the (HEY, LOOK. FOOD.) that the past months are going to mostly end up being :P. But I’ve just been like…meh. I want to get these typed out and posted, but then I look at HOW MANY I have lined up.. And I’d much rather spend my weekend playing games and watching movies on amazon prime than I would attaching photos to posts and then loading them on my computer to type up the wordiness that must accompany them. If you’re wondering why I have to do it on my computer, well, it’s because typing on a touchscreen keyboard can only go so fast and when I do start tackling these, I wanna do it quick so I can catch up FINALLY.

So…I have a rather horrible headache today, means that staring at a laptop screen and typing is off the plans for today, but hopefully next weekend I’ll be really up to kicking off the catching up of Bloggaries!

Hello!  So, I stayed up till about 4 am, making those pets I showed you. Today I’m testing everything with a copy of the current save I’ve been playing. I got the family two pets; the unmarried twin sister adopted an elder cat that I hope to feed a young-again potion, while her sister in-law and mother of all the children in the house adopted a wikkle puppy!

In between all the simming I’ve been doing today, we got some BK!
Something truly awesome is the King Value menu! Seriously! We got everything that we ate, excluding fries, from that menu!  Something definitely worth trying is their $1 Rodeo Chicken Burger
Nom nom nom!! 

It has BBQ sauce on the top sesame seed bun, which is topped with little, super delish  onion rings! The bottom bun has a super cute and delicious chicken patty, that I have to say beats Jack in the Box’s chicken sammiches!  It isn’t too hard and doesn’t have too much breading. It’s kind of like a Tyson chicken nugget, very delicious and tender. –drools–

Now! Back to those pets I had the family adopt.

The cat’s name is Klara; she came to them an elder, with the traits destructive, quiet, and hunter! She recently learned adventurous from jumping up on her master’s bed. Which makes no sense at all. Jumping on a bed is not adventurous, at all.  I’m trying to oust the trait destructive and replace with nondestructive, so the furniture won’t have to endure torture! (Too many words ending in ure!)

The cute little dude is named Theo; he came to them a puppy, with the trait piggy! Piggy is a trait that makes the animal want to be messy, eat too much, and basically be a piggy.  I did, however, get the little guy to learn nondestructive! I hope to teach him neat, hyper/playful and hunter!

Woo!  Went to the bank today, and went shopping for groceries!  The store was unusually packed for a little after lunchtime. Which meant dodging people and their carts again.

Driving was filled with following mayhem around, and if you’ve seen the Allstate insurance commercials, you know what I mean :P.  People driving their pickup trucks with the tailgate down and the bed filled with bungee straps, a jack, a tire iron, a basketball net, rope, and the Mayhem guy may have been my imagination, but I’m pretty sure he was there looking all maniacal.

When in our backyard, my Mom noticed this awesome cloud :

Isn’t it amazing? It looks like some kind of Greek bull, or something like that.  We’re going to make stir fry tomorrow night, so I’ll take some piccitures of that, and I just thought of something I have to show y’all tomorrow! Our snapdragons! This is the second year they’ve been growing. ^_^

     In Other News!

I got Klara the cat to get rid of destructive and replace it with nondestructive! –clapping–  Theo stopped being a piggy, and hopefully he’ll get that neat trait!

I got notices all day today that I got new followers! Thanks for following me :D. Wait! Not in a stalkery way! In a normal way! Heh…I now have 20 followers! 😀 -over excitedly clapping-

Now for an ice cream interlude! *awkwardly slurping ice cream*

And we were going to watch The Heat, but anything OnDemand from twc wasn’t working tonight. So we tried Amazon prime video, and lo and behold, that thing’s not working right either. I can only assume that twc stopped working first, then, in a movie addict rush to watch something, everyone around our area jumped to Amazon Prime video, and EVERYTHING IS NOW OVERLOADED!

So I’m playing more Sims 3, and periodically looking up at Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters! Weeee!

Good afternoon everyone! (Don’t mind the weird color on my eye, the photo’s white balance was acting weird in the cloudiness)

I am experiencing some back pain today, because I like to sleep weird. -.-
But it’s okay, because Finn and I are outside looking at flowers!

Time for a flower tour!

Finn loves the snapdragons, but he just won’t stay still long enough for a photo.

Here are the snapdragons, they smell like juicy fruit bubble gum!

This is a mix of things, showy primroses (or as they are commonly called, buttercups) and some sort of pea plant.

Okay. So we didn’t have any stir fry tonight, because in the middle of the afternoon, my Dad said he wanted salad. So we had this humongous salad, and it was still super delicious, because I absolutely love salads. I could eat salad every single day! Soo yup. That’s what happened! I suppose I should make up for the lack of dinner photos with dessert photos. So here, have a scoop or 3!

Oh and look what I did with my hair..hehehe.

Amaaazing what a brush and some naturally oily hair can do. Lol.

Ahhh. Honeysuckle scented.

I love incense, it’s a wonderful way to end a day. Well, that and watching the God of mischief getting manhandled by the hulk again :D.
